They are holding monthly JBSA-Lackland Food Distributions, hosted by JBSA in partnership with United Way of San Antonio and the San Antonio Food Bank. Since October, this collaboration has been making a meaningful difference for our military-connected community—and we’d love for your organization to be part of it!
They’ve reserved the month of March for women vet organizations and are gauging your interest in volunteering on Friday, March 20th, with a special focus on bringing together women veterans to support local active-duty servicemembers, veterans, and their families.
Here’s a snapshot of what volunteer support looks like:
• 7:30 AM – 10:30 AM
• JBSA-Lackland, 2320 Carswell Ave.
• Up to 50 volunteers each month, rotating among organizations and active duty
• Everyone from your organization is welcome!
• Volunteer roles include Traffic Management, Food Sorting & Packing, Vehicle Loading, and Resource Information Distribution
• Approximately 150–200 families each month
• Monthly resource bags are distributed, and we’d be thrilled to include your organization’s swag or informational materials during the month you volunteer
