Are you looking to make new friends or find a nice group to get outside and walk with?Are you interested in taking in a closer look at the architectural and natural beauty around us? Then come join us!
Women Walking Berkeley's Beautiful Neighborhoods group provides all of the aforementioned - an opportunity to build community and make new friends, learn about the architectural heritage of houses in different neighborhoods and enjoy the natural beauty around us. Please note that this is a women's group.
During each meeting, we'll walk a different neighborhood of Berkeley (or a nearby town) for two hours or so. These walks are meant to be enjoyable, leisurely and relaxing.
On occasion, we will tour a special place, such as Greene and Greene's Thorsen House, Blake Gardens, Maybeck's First Church of Christ Scientist, Julia Morgan's Berkeley City Club and beyond.
