International Women's Day Celebration

Details

We’re back! Women Who Code Atlanta is resuming in-person events and we are so excited to see you all again off-camera. For our first real-life event, we’re going to celebrate International Women’s Day by honoring women in tech and beyond.

Hear from local ATL women in tech in a panel discussion and inspirational lightning talks.

Panel: Building a Resilient Career
As anxiety continues to build in the tech industry, many people are concerned about their jobs and what might come next. How do you continue to build your career in the face of paradigm-shifting change and uncertainty?

Join our conversation with Teneika Askew, Margaret Weniger, Tara Walker, and Erica Stanley as they share their career journeys, and the moments and skills that transcended individual roles to help them build truly resilient careers.

Lightning Talks:

  • Adrianna Valdivia, "Strategies from Managing a Household to Leading a Technical Project"
  • Amy Maraisane, "What if we Stopped Lecturing? Sharing Power to Collaborate Better"
  • Marilyn Cole, "Your Community Can Change Your Life"
  • Valarie Regas, "Mutual Welfare and Benefit: Judo, Technology, and the Joy of Helping"

Come eat, drink, and hang out with us to celebrate! This is your chance to share feedback as a community on what you want from WWCode Atlanta going forward. Don’t forget to pick up some swag and we'll be raffling off some great prizes too.

Doors open at 6:00 pm. Programming starts at 6:30 pm.

*All genders are welcome to attend this event.
