WWCB & Bring IT On Present: Girls Can Do It Too!

Details

• What we'll do
To celebrate International Women’s Day 2018 our WWCB meetup for March will be a little bit different! We’re teaming up with Bring IT On (from the Belfast Met e-campus) to showcase just how varied our Tech industry is. Our evening will see a variety of female speakers giving lightning talks on their different technical disciplines and how they became involved in these roles.

This is a great chance for young women who are interested in beginning careers in the tech and digital sectors to chat with employers, meet apprentices in tech, learn some new skills, network with tech professionals and ask any burning questions they might have.

The aim of this event is to encourage women, aged 16-21, and those new to tech into our technology industry. So if you already work in tech, please sponsor a young woman who you feel may benefit by inviting her. As places will be limited, priority will be given to WWC members who are bringing someone along for this purpose. Belfast Met are kindly sponsoring this round table evening, providing refreshments at the Titanic Campus. Refreshments will be served at 6pm with talks beginning at 6.30. We have an outstanding line up of speakers to celebrate International Women's Day including:
