About the speakers
Sofia is a QA Automation test engineer at Backlane. She mostly focuses on mobile platforms. When she's not geeking around, she likes music, poetry, and wine...especially when all three are combined.
Niharika Ghosh is currently working with FTI Touristik Berlin as Head of QA. Niharika has worked with companies like Zalando and Misterspex in the past. Niharika has spent more than 10 years in the software testing industry where her work experience includes working in different geographical locations including the US (NYC) and Sweden (Stockholm).
Leonor is a JS developer at Actano and a programming enthusiastic. Proud member of she.codes and WomenWhoCode Berlin. When not coding, she's probably traveling or petting her cat.
Talk Abstracts:
Robots, androids and the eternal fight on flaky tests
The powerful ally for the journey is Android's Espresso test framework. The talk will cover how it is possible to have robust acceptance and functional tests at the UI level which are easy to maintain.
Session based testing
Session based testing is a method to increase the structure and manageability of exploratory testing. It provides a high degree of flexibility and utilizes the talents of the experienced tester. It also minimizing the amount of time spend on documentation and other non testing activities. This is pretty useful way to measure exploratory testing. As an agile tester I believe in test effectiveness more than test execution.
There is a reason it's 2017 and Vim is still around
Introductory talk about one of the oldest and yet most powerful and customizable editors. You will hopefully give it a try after this.
