[Partner Event] React 101 Workshop with Frontend Foxes

Join us and Frontend Foxes for a React 101 Workshop! During this event, we'll split up into Zoom breakout rooms and our goal for the event will be to:
- Go over the basics of React
- Learn how to create functional components
- Use React Hooks to fetch data from a pre-existing API
- Create a simple e-commerce app!
No React experience is needed, but some familiarity with JavaScript is helpful. We'll have mentors in the breakout rooms who can help you get started with React!
Tools you’ll need:
- A modern browser like Chrome to access CodeSandbox - be sure to create an account in CodeSandbox to keep the versions of your work intact
- A GitHub account (recommended)

Jaeriah Tay, Frontend Foxes Canada Chapter Leader (@jaeriahtay)
Jaeriah is a multilingual Frontend developer and designer currently building and designing products and integrations at Chec/Commerce.js, an API-first commerce platform. She is also the Canada Chapter Leader of Frontend Foxes, an inclusive NFP organization that creates and hosts workshops to teach front-end technologies to women and the host of the #foxesfiresidechat series with fortnightly episodes.
Coming from a design and entrepreneurial background, Jaeriah found herself at an intersection in tech where she applies her passion for developing applications and working on developer resources. Outside of work, you will find her spending time with family, illustrating, learning the violin, adventuring, and engaging with the developer community.
