✨Lightning Talk ✨
Title: Chaos to Calm: Rhythms to Manage Work Day Overwhelm
Summary:
When I started working in tech 8 years ago, ‘panic’ was my driving force. I spent the day overwhelmed and used that adrenaline to get work done. It was a fast-lane to exhaustion. After a couple of years, I found myself worn down and wishing for a different way. I wanted to work out of ‘intention’ rather than ‘overwhelm’. In this talk, I’ll be sharing 4 practices that have helped me to mitigate overwhelm at work. I’ll also introduce you to a method to benchmark your own overwhelm as you work toward a calmer work day.
✨Speaker ✨
Ginna Baker
Ginna Baker has been a software developer since 2015, working on JavaScript UI’s and nodeJS microservices in the ad tech, cloud storage, and software-as-as-service spaces. Prior to becoming a developer, she worked in New York City assisting US military veterans in transitioning to civilian life. When she’s not at work, she enjoys sewing and playing banjo with friends near her home in Boulder, Colorado.
