About the Panelists:

  • Dominique Belcher - https://www.linkedin.com/in/dominiqueclarke/
Dominique Belcher is a principal software engineer at Elastic living and working in Philadelphia with her husband, Ryan and son, Hosea. She decided to switch careers when she couldn't connect her degree to her dream job. Leveraging the local tech community, she learned Javascript, began volunteering for Girl Develop It, attended a coding bootcamp, and landed her first job at a software firm. Over her career, she's used her experience as a self-taught developer to tutor fellow career changers. 7 years later, she's started a second full time career as a mom.
  • Chryssa Jones - https://www.linkedin.com/in/chryssajones/
Chryssa Jones has plenty of experience navigating career shifts, from aviation to business and entrepreneurship, then higher education administration, then web development and solutions engineering, and then back into education. Currently, Chryssa is the Director of Curriculum for Nucamp, a low-cost coding bootcamp company that seeks to make high-tech career change as accessible as possible. She is also a college professor in the computer science department at Brigham Young University, Hawaii. Chryssa is native Hawaiian and lives in her ancestral home on the island of Oahu, where she loves to spend time at the beach. She and her husband raised 4 kids and have since added a daughter-in-law and a grand-dog to the family.
  • Stephanie Brubaker - https://www.linkedin.com/in/stephbrubaker
Stephanie is a Product Experience Designer for Fanatics Sportsbook Shared Services with a background of 9 years as a 3D product designer for both fine and fashion jewelry brands.
She decided to embark on the quest to explore the UX landscape not only because it aligned with her strength and fascination with problem solving, functional design, and human psychology, but also because she wanted to learn formal techniques that would help her advocate for an enhanced working strategy and better connect with our customer in a digital heavy era.
