Schedule

6.30 - 6.45 | Networking

6.45 - 6.50 | Welcome & chat about WWCode

7.00 - onwards | Speaker Presentations and Q&A

First Presentation:
"Holy Shit, I'm a Manager" - Valerie Dryden, Director of Engineering @ Snyk.

Moving from software engineer to manager is a big scary leap and we don't often talk about it. I want to share my experience of making the transition - what changes, what new skills you need and what success looks like. And what it's like to move into leadership as a woman.

Second Presentation:

Susan O'Connor, CEO & Founder: Shift Left Ltd, Leadership Coach

Title: The three things that helped my path to Leadership with a capital L!
My talk will be about the 3 things that made a difference to my Leadership journey. When presenting in Stakeholder meetings, taking every challenge, or questioning my responsibility instead of holding still for a moment to evaluate who is best to respond. How can we get so focussed on the day job that we miss the opportunities around us, and how to gain trust and respect. The listeners will learn 3 tips on how to be a stronger and more effective leader, no matter what level of the organisation they may be in.
