Ruby Series - Sonic Pi Workshop

Join us for a fun evening learning Ruby and Sonic Pi kindly hosted by Shoreditch Platform.

Sonic Pi lets you compose music via Ruby code and is available on a few platforms (including Raspberry Pi).

Skill Level

This is open to all skill levels.

If you are a beginner you will get a taste of Ruby

If you are an experienced Ruby developer you'll get to have fun with Sonic Pi :)

What you'll need

You'll need your laptop for this session and Sonic-Pi pre-installed.

Setup Beforehand

Head over to http://sonic-pi.net/ and download the installation package for your computer (e.g. mac, windows)

Agenda

• 6.30-6.45: Arrivals + networking

• 6.55-7:25: Intros & Demo of Sonic Pi by Ju

• 7.30: Coding time

• 8:30: Pack up

We'll pair attendees with coaches during coding time

Catering

This event will not have catering, but there will be a bar at the venue where you can purchase drinks during the event.
