ABOUT JESSICA MITSCH
With extensive experience in tech talent and economic development, Jessica plays an integral role in growing and developing transformative tech education locally and beyond. Jessica has been at the forefront of the ed tech industry as an executive, spokesperson, and pioneer in the coding school movement.

ABOUT AMY GORI
Amy arrived in the technology industry via a non-traditional path, learning to code at Durham's first code school. She's worked as a software developer in a variety of professional and volunteer roles, and currently serves as the Director of Engineering & Instruction at Momentum in Durham. Her career in tech follows a career in higher education and a lifetime immersed in the arts & humanities; she holds a PhD in English, which focused on artistic creation, the occult, and Paradise Lost. When she closes her laptop for the day, she turns her attention to trying to be a good parent to two small humans and a chihuahua, cooking real food, and reading real books.

JOIN WOMEN WHO CODE
Women Who Code started as a community group in 2011 when a handful of technologists decided they wanted to change the industry experience for women engineers. Since then, it has become a global non-profit organization and the world’s largest and most active community dedicated to inspiring women to excel in technology careers. One city at a time, Women Who Code spread around the world, reaching more than 20 countries.

Women Who Code Raleigh/Durham was launched in 2017 when local leaders, including Lisa Smith and Emily Stamey stepped up to architect the community. The first event was held in April at The Iron Yard. Since then, amazing things have happened!
