🍂 Let's kick off fall with our favorite colleagues and friends ! Come join us in September for an evening of connection, sisterhood, motherhood, and US celebrating this shared journey as technologists.

Honored that the Women’s Leadership Initiative (ERG) have graciously volunteered to host a quarterly networking series for our chapter! They are going to provide us with a beautiful space, yummy snacks and (drumroll please...) delicious wine. And, of course, we will also have some stellar non-alcoholic options as well.

🗣️🫱🏽‍🫲🏾✨ Our time together will feature some light networking, Applaud Hers and some cute door prizes. Walk away with some life-long colleagues and energized about our lives, careers and womanhood! ❤️

Our amazing planning squad is working hard to ensure a safe space for everyone. There will be name tags, sign-in sheets, optional masks for attendees, hand-sanitizer stations, spaced apart networking areas, prompts for conversation starters, private spaces for mothers, a quick-last minute meeting (because you are a bada**), meditation area for when peopling becomes a lot PLUS SO MUCH MORE! We appreciate the power of community and KNOW how to important some events of this nature can be to our wellbeing.

WWCode is a non-profit organization dedicated to inspiring women to excel in technology careers. We are committed to our mission statement and equally committed to providing a harassment-free experience for everyone regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, ability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, age, religion, socioeconomic status, caste or creed. We do not tolerate harassment of event participants in any form. Event participants violating these rules may be sanctioned or expelled permanently, at the discretion of the event organizers, which in most cases are members of the WWCode leadership team.

JOIN WOMEN WHO CODE
Women Who Code started as a community group in 2011 when a handful of technologists decided they wanted to change the industry experience for women engineers. Since then, it has become a global non-profit organization and the world’s largest and most active community dedicated to inspiring women to excel in technology careers. One city at a time, Women Who Code spread around the world, reaching more than 147 countries.

Women Who Code Richmond was launched in 2017 when local leaders, including Michele Matthews and Briana Augenreich stepped up to architect the community. The first event was held in October at VCU. Since then, amazing things have happened!
