Speakers:

An Chen
Dr. An Mei Chen is currently serving as the Vice President of Engineering at Qualcomm, where she leads research and development in advanced wireless communications, multimedia technologies, and machine learning/artificial intelligence. Dr. Chen earned her Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, San Diego, and is a holder of 475 worldwide patents with over 30 peer-reviewed publications, including several book chapters. She actively contributes her expertise to various boards dedicated to advancing research and education. Dr. Chen received the 2022 UC San Diego Jacobs School of Engineering Electrical & Computer Engineering Distinguished Alumni Award along with other accolades from UC Regents, Phi Beta Kappa, Tau Beta Pi, and American Academy of Achievement. Dr. Chen's journey began as a refugee and a first-generation college student, an experience that deeply fuels her unwavering commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) within the technology industry. She advocates for STEM education and dedicates her time to mentoring first-generation college students and underrepresented tech entrepreneurs.

Srujana Yedulapuram
Srujana started her career as a SW engineer in San Diego. Her career progression has taken her through many roles and different companies touching varying aspects of SW lifecycle. Her variety of experiences within the wireless industry has contributed greatly to both her professional growth and personal development. After a fulfilling stint in SW program management, She currently works as Project Engineer in HW Security team. She is passionate about learning new things and she finds technology and especially security fascinating. In her free time, she loves to do gardening, play piano, and practice meditation.

Yoona Kim
Yoona Kim is a Staff Product Manager at Qualcomm in the Mobile Connectivity team. With 12 years of experience in Wi-Fi and connectivity technologies, she champions human-centric technological advancements to enhance our lives. Emphasizing the importance of diversity in technology, her career goal is to bring value and elevate our quality of life through technology. Yoona holds a Master of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of California, San Diego, and is currently pursuing a part-time MBA program at the University of California, Los Angeles. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, riding, and traveling with family and friends, along with finding joy in reading, cooking, and swing dancing.
