Everyone is a Designer! – A Design workshop

Join us to understand how designers think! As developers, we drum away on our keyboards writing software every day. This workshop will help demystify how designers think, the different genres of design and how everyone can be a designer!
At the end of the session, you will understand basic concepts of critiquing & sketching flows. You will also have more ideas on how to design cool looking presentation powerpoints!

Shiyun is a product designer at Zendesk. Having a background in engineering and economics, she likes to approach design problems from as many perspectives as possible — the technical challenges in implementation, the balance between costs and benefits, and how it all comes together in the end.

Shirley is currently a UX Architect in Mediacorp’s Digital Product team, researching for products like Channel News Asia, TODAYOnline and Elle. In her previous life, she was a design and brand consultant across sectors such as hospitality, automotive, banking and government.

7.15 - 7.35 PM: Everyone is a designer! (Introductory talk by Shiyun & Shirley)
7.35 – 8.05 PM: Workshop critiquing checkout flows, rewrite & sketching flows.
8.05 - 8.25 PM: Improving slides for presentations
8.25 – 8.45 PM: Final questions, networking & wrap!
