Details
This is a hands-on StudyJam for TensorFlow and Deep Learning for absolute beginners. You will learn some of the key basics of Deep Learning and how to build models with TensorFlow 2.0. The session is aimed at getting you started in learning to use Deep Learning as a developer and is a hands-on session that will allow you to practice and ask questions.
The session will be led by Martin Andrews and Sam Witteveen who are both Google Developer Experts in Machine Learning.
The event is for absolute beginners, the only prerequisite is that you understand the code and bring a laptop to work on. Knowledge of Python is a bonus!

Speakers:
Dr. Martin Andrews has a Ph.D. in Machine Learning and has been an Open Source advocate since 1999. After a career in finance (based in London and New York), he decided to follow his original passion and now works on Machine Learning / Artificial Intelligence full-time. He has worked extensively on NLP applications and voice applications using Deep Learning. Martin is a Google Developer Expert for Machine Learning and regularly speaks at events around the world on the latest trends in Deep Learning.
Sam Witteveen is a Google Developer Expert for Machine Learning. He has extensive experience in AI, startups, and mobile applications. Sam is passionate about Deep Learning and AI in the fields of Natural Language Processing, Conversational AI, and Generative Modeling. Sam regularly shares his knowledge at events and conferences across the world and has spoken at events such as AI Day Asia, TensorFlow World, Naver’s Startup Factory and other events for Google in Korea, San Francisco & New York. Sam is also a key mentor for Google’s Startup Accelerator in both the APAC and North America regions.
This event is put on by the Women Who Code Singapore, AI Space, and Red Dragon AI.
Red Dragon AI
Together Martin and Sam are the founders of Red Dragon AI, a company specializing in Deep Learning for AI research and product creation. Their research in Deep Learning has led to multiple publications at conferences such as NeurIPS, NAACL and EMNLP.
AI Space is a community of AI enthusiasts looking to build meaningful and impactful careers in AI. Here, you can find fellow enthusiasts from different backgrounds and at varying stages of their AI journeys. Non-technical friends and beginners are welcome!
