Presenters
Lakshmi Mekala, SRE Manager
With over a decade of dedicated experience in the field of Site Reliability Engineering, Lakshmi has a proven track record of driving operational excellence and resilience within technology ecosystems. Her journey began as a Senior System Administrator/DBA with NIC Utah in partnership with Utah.gov, where she honed her skills in managing networks, web servers, and databases. Subsequently, she transitioned to Adobe, where she has served in roles ranging from Site Reliability Engineer to her current position as Manager of Site Reliability Engineering, leading teams in ensuring the reliability and performance of critical systems. Her commitment to optimizing infrastructure and delivering high-availability solutions has been a constant throughout her career.
Alicia Pixton, Tech Lead SOC Detections Engineering
With a career spanning several years in the realm of cybersecurity, Alicia’s passion lies in Security Operations Centers and Incident Detection. She has a strong background in content development for Security Operations, honing her skills in monitoring network traffic for suspicious activities and collaborating with teams to refine monitoring technologies. Beyond her professional pursuits, she holds a fascination for dinosaurs, further fueling her drive to explore the mysteries of the past and enjoys rock climbing.
.Currently she employed as a Cyber Security Analyst at Adobe, where she brings over six years of experience to the field. Her educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science Bioinformatics from Brigham Young University, and she holds valuable certifications, including the GIAC Certified Forensic Analyst (GCFA) from Cisco.
Julie Zhu, Sr Cloud Engineer
Julie has many years of industrial experience on software engineering. Before Adobe, she developed enterprise solutions for organizations in high-tech, government, finance, insurance, and other industries. She joined Adobe as a senior data engineer to build streaming services that process multi-billions of messages daily. She moved to cloud operations early this year to work on projects that improve cloud efficiency. She began her EMBA program this summer to explore on the business side. She likes reading, playing boardgames, traveling and growing with her kids together.
Kanika Gera, Sr Product Manager
With over a decade of industrial experience in Product Management at Adobe, Kanika brings a unique blend of strong technical acumen, leadership skills, and an unwavering commitment to driving the success of SaaS products, Developer Platforms, and Serverless technologies. Her strategic thinking and passion for building exceptional products and platforms, which transform the way customers create Digital Experiences, guide her work. She is dedicated to achieving results and focus on customer success and experience. Beyond her professional endeavors, she finds great joy in mentoring and sharing insights about product leadership, innovation, technology, and product management. Her educational background includes an array of courses from Harvard Business school and a Product Management degree from Stanford University. Her experience today ranges from product development, customer support, developer relations, architecture, and infrastructure to agile/scrum product development, product strategy, and roadmap planning. In her free time Kanika likes to travel.
