The Future of Identity - Narges Fallahi
š What does Identity mean in the future? It will definitely be beyond passwords! In fact, it already is. In this talk, I will go through modern ways of authorization and authentication, and how several tech companies, including Okta, are already using or developing them. How is Okta the leader of Identity solutions, and what solutions it provides.
Security is for Everybody - Elizabeth Chan
š When it comes to security, it should be an integral part of the systems we build. However, this is often not the case. Learn what security means for you, how you can make security part of your daily work, and how we can all foster security as a team responsibility.
š Your Speakers š
Narges Fallahi is a Senior software engineer at Okta. Before Okta, she worked at Kijiji (eBay) for 3 years. She is a full-stack software engineer, and enjoys working on complex security problems at Okta. She graduated from the University of Waterloo in 2014 with a Master's Degree in computer science, specialized in security and fast recovery of software systems. While in school, she published two papers that you can find linked below. In her free time, she enjoys biking, hiking, and watching random documentaries.
Elizabeth is a software developer from Toronto. Currently, she works at Flashfood, focused on backend development and security. Before that, she was a backend developer at Dot Health, and had a brief stint as a site reliability engineer. She is a cat enthusiast and if she wasn't a developer, she would open up her own cat cafe. In her free time, she likes crafting soft wares with textiles, and studying Mandarin.
