Cynthia Duru
Cynthia is a Software Engineer (DevOps/Cloud), passionate about creatively solving problems using technology. She has ample years of experience in building mobile, web & cloud solutions, and has worked with entrepreneurs and quite a number of startups over the years. She is currently a DevOps/Cloud Engineer with Threatspan, a maritime cybersecurity company in the Netherlands, currently focused on helping firms manage and mitigate cyber risk in the presence of constant digital threats. She is also a strong advocate for women in technology and she is passionate about harnessing the power of technology for social impact.

Cynthia will be speaking on the topic of "Coping Strategies and Overcoming Imposter Syndrome”.

Yang Xia
Yang is a backend software developer from Improving Vancouver working in the field of graph database. She first started to work on a JDBC driver to connect to graph databases, then moved to an implementation of the client driver in Go for Apache TinkerPop, a graph computing framework. She has been contributing to the TinkerPop codebase for the past two years, from bug fixes and feature implementation to managing releases. She became an official committer last September, and was invited to join the project management committee (PMC) in March. Outside of work she enjoy’s hiking when weather is nice, and video games when the weather isn’t very nice.

Yang will be speaking on the topic of “Introduction to Graph Databases, Apache TinkerPop, and the Open Source Community”.

Uche is a highly skilled Software Engineer at Umed, where she leverages her extensive expertise in the field. With over 5 years of professional experience, Uche excels in designing and developing software solutions. Her passion lies in empowering individuals transitioning to the tech industry by providing them with the necessary tools and relevant information to make informed decisions. Uche is also the Director of WWCode Lagos, showcasing her commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive tech community. Beyond her professional pursuits, she enjoys indulging in cinema and exploring different destinations through travel.

Uche will be speaking on the topic of “The Power of Redux Toolkit: Simplifying State Management with Efficiency”.
