Rhea Rodrigues | Chapter Lead at WWCode Vancouver | LinkedIn
Rhea has over two years of experience designing, building, and deploying machine learning systems at scale. She has a background in engineering and business, and lives in Vancouver, Canada. Currently, she works as a Data Scientist on the Cyber Security team at RBC (Royal Bank of Canada) where she ships solutions to minimize the risk of insider threats and data exposure.

Rhea's presentation is titled An Introduction to PySpark.

Chethana Gopinath | Lead at WWCode Python | Linkedin
Chethana is a Software Engineer at Realtor.com and Lead at Women Who Code Python. In addition, she also serves as Diversity Chair at PyCascades Conference. She loves problem solving, sharing knowledge within her communities, and spends her free time experimenting with new cuisines and flavors in her kitchen and exploring beautiful scenic places.

Chethana's presentation is titled Introduction to AsyncIO and Asynchronous Programming
In this talk, we will learn more about Asynchronous programming - its uses and advantages over synchronous programming. We’ll also take a look at AsyncIO - Python’s built-in solution for asynchronous programming - and compare it with traditional synchronous approaches using a real world example.
