Starting from scratch with a new tech stack
Accepting an exciting new role at Monzo last year meant taking the plunge and learning a ALOT of new things at once. Having used the largely the same technology for most of my tech career, this was pretty overwhelming, scary but mostly incredibly rewarding. In this talk I’m going to cover how I navigated this, with a few things I’d do again and a lot of things I absolutely wouldn’t…!
How Generics Made My Service Super Robust
Go generics can be powerful, but what about using them extensively in production? This talk explores the practicalities of working with generics on a larger scale. Learn from a case study of a service built with generics, from the API layer to business logic and database, designed for flexibility and efficiency.

🗣️ If you'd like to give a talk at any of our events, you can sign up to be a speaker on our ongoing Call for Papers. We will then get in touch with you to find a time to present and help you prepare your talk. 💪
