I'm thrilled that Women Who Go Sydney is back! We will be going ahead EVERY 1st Thursday of the month!

Our first speaker is Mirjam Uher

Bio: Mirjam Uher is a self-taught developer who changed into the industry from a career in International Relations in 2021. She's a software developer at DigIO, where she primarily works with Go. In her free time, Mirjam plays a lot of board games and is the loudest person at Karaoke.

Talk: "My 9 biggest aha moments"

One might think that politics and software development don't have a lot in common, but people are people everywhere. Since becoming a dev I have learned many lessons, and in this talk, I am sharing with you the 9 most important aha moments that have helped me progress quickly through my career. I also look forward to hearing your stories and learning from you, as my biggest takeaway by far has been that we're at our best when we're facing challenges together!

Our second speaker is Niharika Kargudri

Bio: Niha is a Senior Software Engineer at Digio with about 4 years of experience. She's worked with an array of softwares like Java / NodeJs / Python and started dabbling with Go in 2021. She loves watching movies in her free time and is currently obsessed with the new Zelda game.

Talk: "Dependency Management"

This is a fairly technical talk about dependencies / libraries which are a common use case in programming. It involves a quick look at the importance of dependencies in software followed by a couple of demos / tricks to show it is done in golang.
