Go's support for concurrency is one of its outstanding features. Although understanding the concurrency primitives in go is relatively easy, building more complex things requires some knowledge and practice.

One of the recommended reads to learn best practices and patterns for writing production-level concurrent code is "Concurrency in Go" by Katherine Cox-Buday. Katherine is a computer scientist currently working at Digital Ocean. Her hobbies include software engineering, creative writing, Go, and music. You can learn all about her (including her tech setup) in this interview from March 2020.

In the first session of this book club series, we will discuss the first two chapters of "Concurrency in Go": Introduction to Concurrency & Modeling Your Code. Like past events, we will have an open discussion and share our opinions, personal experiences, likes, and dislikes.
