Join us for a Fireside Chat with Krystine Jannenga, Co-Founder of Desert Dog Ventures. Always interested in technology, after her daughter was born she knew she needed a new career - and something that would get her there quickly. She attended a coding bootcamp three weeks after her daughter was born, buying into the dream of becoming a developer. After graduation, she realized there was a huge gap in the market for talented graduates from bootcamps who couldn’t get jobs because of their lack of experience. Never wanting anyone to have to go through the process and feel the way she did afterward, Desert Dog Ventures was born. They are connecting small businesses and entrepreneurs to talented junior developers, filling the need for inexpensive web work and meaningful portfolios for both parties. They hope bringing this to market will jumpstart the startup community and help support people as they look for their place in tech.
