The whisky women do summer justice with a solstice party

The event is moving to Taverne Marion at 1151 rue Ontario Est, 4pm! Sorry for this extra change of plans, the first indoor location just canceled my reservation :( The good news is that Tavern Marion have food (amazing nachos!) and a 4-7pm happy hour!

(Update: Hiii! The weather isn’t favourable today (Sunday) so I have reserved us a spot at the new Terrasse Ciel Rose at 3709 boul. Saint-Laurent for 4pm instead).

You've worked hard all week + It's a long weekend = It's time to get social.

If you're not out of town on Sunday the 23rd, this picnic event is where you should bring your camping chair and park your ass - and drink, and eat, and be merry with us.

This group is the kind of space where you'll meet a stranger and feel safe to complain to them about your neurotic coworkers, the cost of living, and those little wirey hairs that keep growing in strange places (or is that just me?!) This is also the kind of space where you will be encouraged and supported in your personal growth, and learn new things in the process.

Coles notes: this group brings good people together.

For those that have never been to a Women, work, and whisky event, you're in for a treat as this is some people's "favourite Meetup group". Some folks have found new career paths through this group, and others have found life-long pals.

For those that have already been these, you know the drill: come with your hearts open and ready to chat with a stranger. And maybe consider writing a little blurb in the Discussion part of the event, sharing what is is you like most about it? It will help newer members get a sense of the vibe :)

What to bring:

• Bring something to eat to share
• Bring something to drink to share
• Bring your folding chair or blanket in the event there is no room at the picnic tables I will try to snag
• (: Bring your smile and leave judgment at the door :)

I'm going to try to set us up in a specific part of the park that is near the bathrooms and Bocce ball area. The specific spot at the part will be announced the day of the event.
