What we're about

Women Allies and various women groups are members of a collaborative Meetup for Conversations, Friendship Archway Network. This monthly program is designed by women and led by women leaders. This Meetup group takes place on the 3rd Sundays of each month from noon to 3pm. Participants can continue to network until dinner time. Most other business networking takes place after work on weekdays, however many women find it difficult to get home late at night. This program takes place at noon on 3rd Sundays so women can take a day off once a month to meet new prospects, make new contacts and stay connected to the business and learning community. For this monthly community collaborative event, expect to meet people of diverse backgrounds at this event, women and men interested in economic, personal, spiritual and community development. If women wish to reserve one table for Leanin.org members, come before noon and reserve your table and be at your table. The co-organizers will be there from 11:15am on to set up for this event. One of the co-organizers is a member of the DC Leanin.org and we welcome all Leanin.org members.

This networking event is held each month at the same time and place on the 3rd Sundays from 12:30PM to 3PM in Downtown Wash. D.C. at One Fish restaurant, 2423 Pennsylvania Ave. NW, DC, 20037, less than 2 blocks from Foggy Bottom GWU Metro/subway blue/orange lines. It is easier for women to plan ahead when the event is held the same time and place each month for the year. The context and monthly events facilitate the development of relationships, friends and allies for mutual support. Note: this event is not limited only to women attendees. This is a combined community networking event for women to connect with prospects/people of diverse backgrounds they may not otherwise meet in the community. At this event, women can make new contacts and stay connected with social entrepreneurs, community builders, political staffers, nonprofit leaders, professionals and others in the Wash. D.C. metropolitan area. They can also discover exciting projects include one the co-organizers have been working on. Please join the team of volunteer community builders for more fun, food, friendships, finance, future!

This series of community networking events over lunch (self-pay) provide enjoyable in-person monthly opportunities on 3rd Sundays to expand grassroots support, develop constituents and expand your network by listening and develop personal contacts and mutually supportive relationships with people of diverse backgrounds. Come to learn about other perspectives with an open and positive attitude and make new friends. Expand your contacts, build positive community spirit, collaborate on new business, professional, management and leadership opportunities! Once you meet in person, it is easier to followup on those you wish to. We like this way to stay in touch with friends, old and new each month and be on conference call with others once a week.

Free Sunday parking on streets if you can find it. Best to come by Metro (Foggy Bottom/GWU blue, orange, silver lines) or DC Circulator which stops almost in front of One Fish restaurant. We welcome you to join the Event Leadership Team to help us make these events better and better!
