A Group for Vibrant Women of a Certain(ly Magnificent!) Age to Connect in Our Local Community
Do you reject the notion of the “invisible middle-aged woman”? Yeah, me too. I believe passionately that women in their fifties and beyond have energy, creativity, style, and a timeless elegance that we've cultivated with our years of interesting and diverse life experiences, and that the best years of our lives are still ahead of us.
If that's the way you feel, too, and you're in your fifties (or a little older or younger and possess this same spirit), join us!
Our events aim to be simple, positive, light-hearted occasions to get to know one another better. To facilitate meaningful conversations and accommodate the smaller size of our local venues, attendance for events is sometimes limited.

Thriftmas & Magnificent Tidings!
Cat Nap Coffee, 834 Spring Hill Road, Staunton, VA, USLet’s wrap up the year together in true Staunton Magnificent Women style—with laughter, community, and a touch of holiday creativity!
For our last 2025 event, we’ll be doing a Secret Santa gift exchange, meaning each person will bring one wrapped gift, and we will have a game to exchange them, and so each person will leave with a gift, too… but our version of this traditional holiday game has a twist:
- Price limit: $7 or under
- NO new store-bought items allowed — instead, your gift can be thrifted (we know how much we love a good treasure hunt!), handmade (hello, MW artists!), homemade (cookies, jam, or anything delicious), something from a yard sale, antique, or consignment store…or even a re-gift from your own closet! Yup, anything goes as long as it doesn't come with a gift receipt! :)
- This is meant to be a gift that someone would like (i.e., not a "joke gift") - like something pretty or useful or retro or unique.
This event will be held at the Cat Nap Coffee Roasting Cafe. Thank you to owner Ryan for hosting us! If you haven't been there yet, you're in for a treat. The cafe, located inside the Queen City Brewery building at 834 Spring Hill Road, is big enough to hold all of us and cozy enough to enjoy a winter afternoon together.
Please plan to purchase a nice, hot drink from the cafe AND, if you wish, bring along a homemade sweet treat to share! We're going to have LOTS of sweets, and this means (yum) LEFTOVERS, so please ALSO bring along a container to take home to you and your family a sampling of the leftover holiday treats.

Chopped, The Craft Edition: A Fun Benefit Event for Art Hive!

Magnificent Women—get ready for some crafty, laugh-filled competition!
Our very own Kirsten—Hive Mistress of Staunton's Art Hive and proud Magnificent Woman—ran a wildly fun craft challenge in November to help fund an ADA ramp for her business. It was such a hit that we’re bringing it back just for us!
What’s happening:
- You’ll be placed in a randomly-selected team of three
- Each team gets a mystery basket of miscellaneous craft supplies
- We reveal the theme…and the clock starts!
- Create your masterpiece, win over the judges, and claim victory
- Round 2 gives you another shot at glory
- Judges may toss in curveballs to test your creative genius
- Prizes for the winning team!
Cost: Just $5 to play—and every dollar goes toward building the ADA ramp. Bring the $5 along with you, please.
Location: Cat Nap Roasting (thank you, Ryan, for hosting us again!)
Please feel free to bring up to two women guests along with you for this event (just let us know in your RSVP).
No artistic skills needed—just your sense of humor, a playful spirit, and a heart for helping one of our magnificent Magnificent Women.
