"Bourbon and Thrifting" - 1st in Series

At a recent event we were talking about the pleasures of bourbon. That naturally led to the pleasures of finding good deals at thrift shops (well, of course it did!). It was only then we realized we have a resident expert on BOTH subjects, one of our very own Magnificent Women, Kat. Alas, we were next faced with a daunting dilemma: what is the logical pairing with thrift shop finds...bourbon, wine, or beer? Like the magnificent women we are, we immediately decided to embrace the challenge and find out for ourselves, one by one.
For this first event (which may, if successful, become a series of different towns, thrift stores and libations), we'll visit these places: Rockfish Community Center's Treasure Chest Thrift Store in Afton, Mountain House Trading Company (to sample their flavored of honey, mead, and other products), The Green Olive Tree thrift store in Crozet, then lunch and drinks at Fardowners.
