What we’re about
Calling all women+ who love art, culture and community! Women of Culture LA is a community for professional women who want to live more art-full, socially connected and culture-filled lives. It is a branch of the original NYC-based community (with over 4K members) designed to connect, empower and inspire women through meaningful engagement with the arts.
Although we started in LA in 2019 and have already hosted four LA-based events to date, we took a break during the pandemic. But we're now back and excited to help you experience the best of LA's rich art & culture scene, all while meeting fellow arts-minded Angelinos.
You can learn more about the original NYC-based group here and see some of the 300+ events we've hosted in NYC & beyond.

Inspired by our Sisterhood of Discovery series, these casual and intimate bi-weekly calls are designed as a way for Art-full members (and first-time non-member visitors) to start the week with intention and connection.
Advance Registration Require here
Each session will begin with a short grounding meditation, followed by the chance for attendees to check in with their sisters and discuss a pre-selected prompt. Each call is an invitation to deepen your connection with yourself and your fellow Art-full members by showing up for one another consistently.
Conversation will be lightly guided in order to ensure all in attendance feel seen, heard and validated in the service of building one another up through authentic support.
You are invited to show up as your full self, as you are - learning, growing and discovering more about yourself and one another along the way. Please be sure to call from a quiet location where you feel comfortable participating as though we were meeting in person.

All sessions are FREE for Art-full members, and non-members are invited to attend one trial session before joining the membership. Learn more about the membership and join here.

We’ll begin at the main gallery location with It Smells Like Girl, a powerful group exhibition of over 30 women artists who reclaim “hysteria” as a radical form of resistance through painting, sculpture, performance, and immersive installations. The show invites us to reflect on how emotion and disruption can be reimagined as acts of power rather than weakness.
Then, we’ll walk to the second gallery (4 min walk) for the opening of Bisa Butler: Hold Me Close, where Butler’s vibrant quilted portraits—crafted from West African fabrics with painterly precision—reflect on resilience, empathy, and the urgent need for tenderness in today’s world. Each work carries both personal narrative and collective memory, blurring the line between craft and fine art.
Finally, we’ll walk (3 min walk) to wrap up the evening over dinner nearby at Mr. T, a chic neighborhood bistro where we’ll gather to share our impressions and continue the conversation, in good company!
✨ Why join us?
