Women in the Arts: Getty Global talk & Performance at the Getty Center

​Join Women of Culture the second, invitation-only iteration of Getty Global Talks—a private morning of inspiration, connection, and candid dialogue among a small group of women shaping the arts.

​This intimate session convenes cultural leaders, artists, and innovators to explore how creative practice meets today’s most urgent societal questions—and to celebrate the power of art to spark change, meaning, and connection.

​Guided by Getty President and CEO Katherine E. Fleming and Christie’s CEO Bonnie Brennan, the program includes a performance by LA-based dance company Bodytraffic, along with a networking breakfast and hosted lunch designed for thoughtful conversation and genuine connection.

​You’ll hear from leading voices including the Guerrilla Girls, Maria Rosario Jackson (former Chair, National Endowment for the Arts), Gillian Wynn (philanthropist and arts advocate), Harmonia Rosales (visual artist and author), and Helen Alonzo Hurtado (Co-Executive Director, Las Fotos Project).

​To close, guests are invited to explore three compelling exhibitions at the Getty Center:

​​The Guerrilla Girls are an anonymous group of feminist activist artists who use art and performance to challenge inequality and injustice in the art world and beyond. Through provocative visuals, research, and public interventions, they shine a spotlight on underrepresentation and inspire conversation around equity and creativity.
​​
Maria Rosario Jackson is a cultural strategist and former head of the National Endowment for the Arts. She works at the intersection of arts, culture, and community development, bringing insight into how creative practices can shape and strengthen communities.
​​
Gillian Wynn is a philanthropist and arts advocate dedicated to supporting cultural initiatives that foster creativity, social change, and connection across communities.

​​Harmonia Rosales is a visual artist and author whose work reimagines classical mythology and art history through a lens of African and African-American culture, inviting reflection and dialogue on representation, identity, and beauty.
​​
Helen Alonzo Hurtado is the co-executive director of Las Fotos Project, an organization that empowers youth and communities through photography, storytelling, and creative mentorship.
​​Together, these artists bring a dynamic mix of vision, creativity, and advocacy to the Getty Global Talks, offering attendees a chance to experience art as a powerful tool for dialogue, connection, and inspiration.
