​Spanning six decades and nearly 300 works, the exhibition highlights Asawa’s radical approach to materials—transforming wire, paper, ink, and bronze into immersive studies of form, space, and repetition.

​From her iconic looped-wire sculptures to works rooted in community and public life, this exhibition offers a rare, comprehensive look at an artist who saw no separation between living, teaching, and making art.

​We’ll begin with an Art-full members-only jazz brunch at Il Gattopardo,
a refined Midtown favorite known for its soaring vaulted ceilings, live music, and elevated Italian cuisine. It’s an elegant, relaxed setting to gather, connect, and ease into the afternoon before heading to the museum just a short walk away.
