This year we are going to join the iFishiBelong event in Brevard as our spring kickoff event.

Registration is now live for the 2026 5th Annual North Carolina DIY Fishing Event, taking place March 5–8, 2026, beginning the evening of March 5th.

This event aligns with the Forks of the River Fly Fishing & Music Festival, hosted by Headwaters Outfitters Outdoor Adventures and Davidson River Outfitters.

iFishiBelong is proud to sponsor the Women in Fly Fishing Dinner and Symposium on Friday, March 6, 2026, and they'll also have a booth at the festival on Saturday, March 7, 2026. Your registration includes a ticket to Friday’s dinner, a general admission ticket to Saturday’s festival, and all other DIY event registration perks.

Based on survey feedback, they've made several improvements, including reorganizing the website with a full North Carolina menu to make it easier to navigate and find information.

We will plan to fish the area on Saturday and/or Sunday as well.

Registration is now open. Visit

Be sure to join the Pisgah Area Women's Fly Fishing Group facebook page and mark your calendar for their North Carolina Live Q&A on February 18, 2026, at 6:00 PM ET. The co-hosts will be Hannah Myers Overgaard, Jessica Whitmire, Lydia Dann, and Mollie Boaz who are available on the group facebook page to help answer your questions.
