What we’re about
Wanderlust Women enables participants to enjoy small group travel experiences around the world that are tailored for women and have an attractive price point. Our custom journeys are active explorations full of amazing sights, cultural experiences and fun with new friends in a supportive and welcoming atmosphere. Trip itineraries are created with cultural immersion in mind, with free time built in to explore on your own as well.
We always add a few challenging optional experiences in - glacier hiking in Iceland, e-bikes in Ireland, snorkeling in Kefalonia, segways in Lisbon, kayaks in Interlochen or hiking the caldera in Santorini- you will try something new you’ve never done before with new friends there to share the experience! Days are spent exploring sights and evenings might be relaxing in pubs or tavernas, we’re all there to have fun.
We typically take 2-3 journeys a year with a maximum group size of 10 – 20, past trips have included Iceland, Ireland, Greece, Portugal, and hiking Mont Blanc in the Alps. We are fun, supportive, active, open-minded women and would love to welcome you on one of our journeys!
We try to plan one trip as a scenic and cultural exploration, and the other as a more active and challenging trip. This year in June we are hiking the Scotland Highlands with an extension into Isle of Skye, and then in November embarking on a Christmas Markets river cruise from Paris to Cologne! 2026 will find us on a bike and barge trip through the South of France, and discovering the sights and experiences of Croatia together!
The majority of our members are 50+, and we welcome solo travelers or bring a friend! There is no additional charge to join as a solo traveler, you will be paired with a roommate (or you can chose a private room option).
Our small group size encourages friendship and camaraderie. We host online Meetups via Zoom to learn about the trips, and pre-travel Meetups to meet each other and learn all the details before travel.
Many of our participants live on the San Francisco Peninsula, but we have had travelers from all over the US join us (as well as Canada)!
