This month, we're reading The Berry Pickers by Amanda Peters!

The Berry Pickers is about a Mi’kmaq child who goes missing while berry picking in the 60s and the ripple effects that has (keepin' in it vague to avoid spoilers here...). It's the debut novel of author Amanda Peters, and it won her the Andrew Carnegie Medal for Excellence in Fiction and the 2023 Barnes & Noble Discover Prize. Author Alexander MacLeod describes it: "The Berry Pickers is a beautiful novel about family and about the way it makes and breaks and re-makes us again."
