Recognizing and expressing anger with somatic therapy for Women
Details
Women only event.
Cameras will need to be ON at the beginning to create a safe space.
A guided exploration of anger as a somatic experience, how to notice it in the body and release it safely.
I will first talk about how today's society shapes women to suppress anger and not to speak up, and how this affects our health and chronic physiological symptoms. Then we will explore somatic cues for anger and how to give more space to it.
Through gentle body awareness, reflection, and somatic practices, we’ll explore:
- How anger shows up physically in the body
- The difference between feeling anger and acting from anger
- Why we often suppress, disconnect from, or judge our anger
- How to recognize your personal signals and triggers
- Ways to give anger space and expression in a safe, embodied way
- How healthy anger can support boundaries, self-expression, and agency
You don’t need to be “an angry person” to benefit from this workshop. Anger is a natural human emotion, and learning to listen to it can help us understand ourselves more deeply.
