The world feels heavy right now.
What if we channel our confusion, anger, pain, or sadness into something creative?
This group is about exploring the creative possibilities within us. Maybe coloring or collaging seems small, but these small acts ripple through our minds and spirits. What thoughts or ideas arise while we create/craft? Can we learn to listen more closely and be inspired to take action in our own unique ways?
You don’t need to be an “artist” to join this group! Just bring a creative project you’d like to work on, and we’ll spend time working on our own pieces together.
We’ll start with brief intros, where you can share who you are, what you're currently navigating, and what you're working on. Then, we'll move into five minutes of journaling with a prompt and affirmation to reflect on as we create, diving into our creative practice, crafting, playlist on, letting it all flooow.
We’ll close by sharing what came up for us and finish with a short meditation.
For the upcoming group, I’ll be making a vision board page in my journal. You’re welcome to join me in that, or work on anything else that feels right to you.
What you’ll need if you are creating a vision page: images that inspire you to show up for yourself. Think: Beyoncé, a tropical waterfall, Reese Witherspoon in Legally Blonde, your dream home, an outfit you want to make, your goals, your dreams, you get the picture. Browse Pinterest for memes, art, or photos that spark something in you.
Also bring: your journal, a board, glue or tape, scissors, and anything else you'd like (glitter is always welcome).
If you'll be creating your own thing, please remember to still bring a journal or somewhere to write for a short journaling prompt.
