Sept 13th SAT. ~~ Slow Hike/Walk ~~South Valley Park ~ 2.1 Miles

Hello Ladies,
We will meet at the South Valley north parking lot (not the south parking lot) by the big sign on Sat. Sept. 13th at 9:00 am and start our walk by 9:10am (or earlier if everyone has already.) There are two South Valley Parking lots, so be sure you park at the north parking lot which is easily accessed by just driving west under C470 from the Ken Caryl Street. Then take the left street when you come to the Y. Mileage from 470 to the Park is about 1.33 miles.

This trail is located just about a mile SW from the intersection of Highway 470 and Ken Caryl - a gem just outside the city. We will start on the Coyote Trail (about one mile) then return on the Swallow Trail (about another mile). So total hike is about 2.10 miles. Elevation gain is 251 ft. The trail is moderatly pretty flat with a few places that are just a little steep. Take hiking poles if you'd like.

This will be a slow paced hike/walk and I would like for the group to stay together. So if you think that will work for you please join us for a beautiful hiking experience!!

Please dress appropriately for the weather. Predicted to be mostly sunny.

Remember everyone is responsible for their own safety and happiness. Please be aware that we are in a wilderness area. (But still very close to town).
