4/7 E-Bike Ride*CCR Trailhead on New Peaks to Plains Trail start at Prospect Pk

E-BIKE RIDE - Tuesday, April 7th
Dear Ladies,
Total miles is about 20 miles. Speed will be mainly 15 mph and sometimes faster. Time is probably closer to 2 1/2 hours rather than the stated 3 hours.
Yes, will be doing this ride on both Monday March 30th and also Tuesday April 7th .
We will be riding from Prospect Lake parking lot to the end of the newly opened Segment of the Peaks to Plains Trail to the CRR Trailhead parking lot. It had been closed at about tunnel 1 and now it is opened to the CCR Trailhead. This new part is about 1.5 miles of beautiful mountains and creek!! There is a medium big hill and then as we go up it is an almost steady upward grade.
We will meet at Prospect Park parking lot at 10:00 am and roll out by 10:15 am. Please arrive earlier if you need more time to get set. We will head WEST from Prospect Park, reach the town of Golden, keep going up the Clear Creek Trail, then we will ride further up highway 6 on the Clear Creek Trail till we get to the end of the recently finished segment. Many segments will be built and added in the future. We will ride to farthest part we can go to till we reach the blocked trail closure. Then we will ride back about .3 miles to the CCR Trailhead parking lot for a bike, snack and restroom break. There they have some flat rocks to sit on. Then we will return.
Note: There is an area that there may be walkers dogs, etc. We will go as slow as needed and always use bike etiquette and let them know if you are passing and let them know how many are left when you are passing.
