Details
E-Bike Ride
Hello Ladies, NOTE:๐๐ด๐ปโโ๏ธ. This post is for the April 15th ride.
๐๐ด๐ปโโ๏ธ(This ride is posted on both Wed April 15th and Tues April 21st. They start at different times. So you would have to sign up for the ride(s) you want to go on.)
This ride will be a very scenic beautiful mountain canyon E-Bike ride. We will meet at 11:00 am and then be ready to roll out by 11:15 am. If you need more time to get ready please make arrangements to come earlier. This is a pretty new segment that is toward the upper end part of the canyon. (some of you have done the lower one - CCR Trail.) We will do it twice since it is 8 miles, to and from. Which,
of course, would make it a total bike ride of 16 miles.
Driving There: The meeting place (The Big Easy Trailhead) is a little more than 9 miles up the canyon from the intersection of Highway 6 and Highway 93. When you are at that intersection turn left (west) on Highway 6 which will head you going west.
Be aware that they sometimes have some traffic wait traffic stopping for canyon road/trail construction. You might add some extra time to your travel.
Our bike ride destination will be to the Tunnel 5 area parking lot. This is the farthest we can go on the trail as of now. As mentioned before we will ride this ride twice. So after we ride the first time to and from we will take a lunch/snack /restroom break back at the at the picnic tables that are right before the Big Easy Trail Head. So bring snacks or a lunch if you'd like.
Then after our break we will ride this beautiful trail again.
There are restroom facilities at the trailhead and one single unappealing porta potty at the Tunnel 5 parking lot destination.
The speed will be between 13 and 15 but leaning more to a steady 15 mph and sometimes could be more. Please make sure your battery is completely charged so that you can stay with the group and not have to worry about your battery losing charge.
I have listed the time to 2 hours but it could be a little less or a little more.
*Please have your emergency contact name and phone number clearly written in your helmet (incase of an emergency situation).
*Please private message me your cell phone number if you know I don't have yours and I will send you mine.
Dress appropriately for the weather.
As a courtesy to others please keep your RSVP current.
This is a participate at your own risk event. By signing up for this event you acknowledge that you are solely responsible for your own safety.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Looking forward to riding with you!!
