New Date: Monday May 11
Meet at 9:00am at Waterton Canyon Parking Lot
Start Riding: 9:15am
Round Trip: 12miles
Speed: 8-12 mph. Casual, Social PACE

NOTE: THIS IS A VERY WIDE DIRT/GRAVEL TYPE SURFACE, NOT PAVED.

This is a wonderful ride up the canyon alongside the river!
It’s slightly uphill on the way out, so it’s a nice gradual downhill on the way back. Hopefully we will see bighorn sheep! We’ll ride at a social pace and may stop briefly several times along the way. At the turn-around point, near Strontia Springs Dam, we’ll take a longer break. Those who want to ride a little bit more while we take a break can continue UP the road a short distance to where the single track Colorado Trail goes off to the left.

(Note that last time we rode there, they were doing construction up by the dam so we did have some trucks passing us along the way, but they were not a problem at all.)
