8/4 9am Highland Canal~DeKoevend Park to Eisenhower Rec ~ 24 Miles, 15mph

Hello Bikers,
Both E-bike and Traditional

Let's meet at 9:00am at DeKoevend Park parking lot and roll out by 9:10am. Arrive earlier if needed. We will ride 24 miles total on the beautiful Highland Canal to the Eisenhower Rec Center. There, we will take a short break at the park. They do have indoor restroom facilities.

Speed will be about 15 mph. Sometimes slower, sometimes faster. It is a light dirt gravel, and a little bit of soft sand in one area. Not really recommend for skinny tires. But a little bit wider tire is recommended. There are a few low traffic streets to cross. But no biggie.

Parking: The area we are parking at is right off of University - directly across from the intersection of University and Weaver. It parallels University. So if you turn in at a the light intersection you are not at the right place. It is just a tiny way south of the light intersection on University. Park close to the bridge when you come in. You will see it right when you make the turn in to the parking lot..
