🛶WED 9/23🛶 Kayak/Paddleboard SOUTH SIDE of Chatfield Main Reservoir, 9:30

WEDNESDAY SEPTEMBER 23 — Kayaking/ Paddleboarding at Chatfield reservoir, south side
Arrive by ~9:30 to be on the water by 10:00. We’ll be on the water about 1.5-2 hours, but you can stop whenever you want.

Park in the Kingfisher parking lot. When you enter Chatfield State Park from Wadsworth, go past the entrance station to the stop sign and turn right. You will go 2 miles and turn LEFT into the Kingfisher parking lot.
(This is directly opposite the road that leads to the gravel pond, where we usually go.)

We’ll paddle around in the south portion of the reservoir, go around the area of trees, and head south toward and hopefully under the bridge, to see how far we can go before the water gets too low.

Restrooms are available at the parking lot. Be sure to bring your life jacket (and a whistle if you have one).
