This is an stunning and moderate 6klm trail through the Empire Pass in the Blue Mountains National Park, heading north from Lawson. As we trek along the trail, you will get a feeling of traipsing through the jungle, surrounded by lush jungle scenery . As well as walking past multiple waterfalls and creeks, including Fairy Falls, Dantes Glen and St Michaels Falls. And a beautiful view at Echo Bluff.
This is a beautiful trail if you really want to have that โ€˜adventureโ€™ spirit๐ŸŒˆ๐ŸŒ„.

PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU RSVP:

Fitness ๐Ÿฅพ๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ:**

  • Moderate difficulty โ€“ a 13min walk from Lawson Station at beginning and end of trail.
  • Followed by a 6.1km circular trail with some stairs, some muddy areas and jumping maybe over some trees ๐Ÿ˜
  • Approximately 3.5 to 4 hours.
  • We will take our time; we are as fast as our slowest walker. But moderate fitness required ๐Ÿ˜Š.

Transport:
Via public transport from Central Station๐Ÿš‚:

  • 07:24 departing from Central Station, Platform 7. (Lithgow via Parramatta Service)
  • 09.34am:arrive at Lawson Station.
    (Please check timetable, as times may change closer to date)

For those driving, there is parking at the station carpark or streets nearby ๐Ÿ˜Š.

Meeting:

  • 09.45am: Outside Lawson Station (on the north side) towards Loftus street ๐Ÿš‚.
  • Or for those who would like to meet me for breakfast, I will be at the Black Cockatoo Bakery on Staples Avenue, from 09.00am.

Route:

  • 09.45am we will begin our walk for 13minutes along St Bernards Drive to the beginning of the Loop.
  • We will then proceed to follow the Dantes Glen Trail clockwise. The beginning of the trail will be scenic with quite a few waterwalls, then continue along the Empire Falls Walking track.
  • Midway through the trail, we will rest at Frederica Falls and take a short break and enjoy the waterfall and a cup of tea โ˜•.
  • We will continue along the North Lawson track until we hit Echo bluff and enjoy more spectacular views.
  • Continuing our journey, we will walk the remainder of the loop and back down St Bernards Drive towards Lawson.
  • 14.00pm: For those who would like to join me, we will end our day with lunch at The Henry Blue Mountains Hotel ๐Ÿฅฉ๐Ÿน.

What to bring:

  • It may be pretty muddy and lots of steps so good shoes for walking, preferably hiking boots and poles if required .
  • BYO lunch / snacks, water, weather-appropriate clothing.
  • There are no bathrooms and water bubblers along the route, so please also bring 2ltrs water.
