Celebrating Samhain: Honoring our ancestors, Offering Gratitude, Harvesting Wisdom

Join Dr. A. and special guest, Dr. Nicola Tannion, expert in Celtic Otherworld Mythology, during this liminal season when the veil between the worlds is thin, to honor our ancestors, offer gratitude for the blessing of the past year, gather the harvest of our experience and wisdom, and receive inspiration for the year ahead.
We will explore a brief history of Samhain (saah -when) and consider how we can each adapt our own rituals and ceremonial practices to our mythic understanding and needs at any time of year.

Ritual: Inviting Your Foremothers
Dr. A. will lead a practice to invite the soul/spirits of our female ancestral lineage to join our circle, commune, and celebrate with us.

Visualization: Meeting Your Foremothers
The ritual will be followed by a guided visualization, led by Celtic Otherworld expert, Dr. Nicola Tannion, inviting us to meet our ancestors around the Samhain bonfire to celebrate, offer thanks, and ask for their guidance and wisdom for the new year.

Reflection Journaling
Immediately following the visualization, we will journal, draw, compose, and create documentation of the images, symbols, ideas, and messages we may have received during connection with our matrilineal line.
Following the writing reflection, those who are inspired to share the messages and wisdom they have received are invited to do so.

A few days before the workshop, participants will receive a list of common household objects to bring to the workshop for a mini ritual where we will invoke the presence of our female ancestry and ancient female roots of intuitive power and knowing.

To participate in this Women's Wisdom Village workshop on ZOOM, you must have a working mic and camera. The camera must remain on for the duration of the workshop for security purposes.
