Class 2 of Shadow Work: Time to Catch Your Shadow in the Act!

Details
Last class, we kicked off our shadow work series by shining a light on that sneaky shadow self. You know, the part of you that’s been quietly directing your life’s reruns. We talked about those maddening patterns (like dating the same “oh no, not again” person or procrastinating until panic mode hits) and then we had a conversation with our shadow.
Now, it’s time to dig a little deeper. Ever wonder why you lose it over the tiniest things, like a slow Wi-Fi signal sending you into a spiral, or why that one coworker always gets under your skin? Or maybe you’ve noticed life keeps handing you the same script, like “Congrats, you’re the overachiever who’s exhausted again!” That’s your shadow, winking at you from the corner.
In this second class, we’re rolling up our sleeves to catch it in the act. On Wednesday, May 21st at 5:30 pm PST, we’ll zoom in on:
- Emotional triggers: those moments when you go from chill to “why am I yelling about this?” in 2.5 seconds.
- The inner critic: that voice that sounds like a judgy middle-school mean girl, always ready with a “you’re not good enough.”
- Projections: when you blame someone else for something that’s secretly your own baggage (oops).
- Repetitive life patterns: like being the peacemaker who never gets peace, or the perfectionist who’s never satisfied.
By the end, you’ll start mapping out where your shadow likes to hide. Think of it like becoming a detective in your own life - minus the trench coat, plus a whole lot of “aha!” moments. You’ll walk away with more self-awareness, fewer “why do I keep doing this?” groans, and maybe even a chuckle at how crafty your shadow can be.
