“The people around you shape your journey. Choose your team wisely."
—Bill Burnett and Dave Evans

Shari and Rhonda look forward to you joining us for our FINAL session exploring, discussing, and actively applying principles of Life Design from Bill Burnett and Dave Evans' original New York Times Bestseller, "Designing Your Life." See the first event description for more information on this series.

In this session, we'll explore Chapter 11, Building a Team and the Conclusion. The Conclusion circles back on some critical aspects of Design Thinking so don’t skip it!

Chapter 11 emphasize that designing a fulfilling life is not a solo endeavor. They stress that having the right people around you—your "Life Design Team"—is essential for making informed decisions, gaining new perspectives, and maintaining motivation. The right team—composed of people who support, challenge, and inspire you—vs. always telling you what you want to hear, will help you navigate the uncertainties of designing a fulfilling life. By intentionally building relationships and seeking guidance, you can make better decisions and stay on track with your goals. We will also discuss the "Try Stuff" Exercise at the end of the chapter ... perhaps you will be inspired to invite others from the group to be on your Life Design Team?

We will also discuss our CELEBRATION for all of our participants who joined for any part of the book series.

A copy of the book is required to fully benefit from participation in this Meetup. The book can be reserved at the local library or ordered from your bookstore of choice.

Please note what chapter we are covering in this session and plan to complete previous chapters and exercises prior to this meeting so that you are familiar with the concepts.

As discussed in our first meeting, you will benefit from joining gatherings whether you read each chapter and/or complete activities or not, so these "do ahead" invitations are just that, invitations to get the most out of the work! 🤩

We have created a WhatsApp channel outside of Meetup for all members to collaborate and share content, whether attending the live events or not. If you'd like to join the WhatsApp channel, please join here.
