Beginner ride to the Wetlands

Details
Let's get some rides on the books after a long break during the pandemic and beyond. You will meet your ride leader, Lorene Davidson, at her home and park there as well. We will ride together as a group up Forest Hill Avenue and into Stratford Hills down to the Wetlands where there are fun, easy trails along the river.
You will need: A functioning bike with lubed chain and inflated tires
A helmet
Water bottle filled to the brim
An extra tube for your tire in case you get a flat
Snacks i.e. energy bar or basically anything to keep your motor running
Biking gloves are always a good idea--I like full fingered gloves
This ride is a mountain bike ride for beginners who already know how to ride their bike. So basically those attending this ride should already know how to shift gears, how to use their brakes and how to ride up and down hills on the road. The pace will be a BEGINNER ride pace set by the WMR ride leader!
Also, I am excited to announce that we have started a new World Ride Community in RVA. World Ride is a 501(c)3 non profit that works to empower women globally through mountain biking. They have established programs around the world where they work with local women to create bike libraries, assist women with leadership and guide training, and support women with their race goals.
See the impact we are making on women around the globe and join the Richmond chapter by clicking on https://worldridecommunity.com/share/5j5f2pquIhQFUZ5O?utm_source=manual. Don't worry it's free to join!
