Lightning Talks: Demo Night @ Noble Desktop

Join WWCode NYC for Lightning Talks event @NobleDesktop! Arrive at 6:30PM for some food and networking. Learn more about WWCode NYC and NobleDesktop during a brief welcome at 7:00pm, then settle in to hear Lightning Talks by Karen MacPherson, Ayuna Vogel, Shoshana Biro, and Laima Tazmin.

HOST : Noble Desktop (https://www.nobledesktop.com/) is a school in Soho that teaches web development, iOS programming, UX Design, and digital publishing. They offer comprehensive day, evening, and weekend classes as well as certificate programs. Their curricula and workbooks are used by colleges and schools worldwide.

7:10pm : Dance Dance Evolution, Karen MacPherson

Karen is a recent graduate and current teaching fellow at Fullstack Academy of Code, a bootcamp where students learn how to build web application using the MEAN stack. Prior to that, she was a biomedical researcher and is interested in the cross section of tech, biology, and education. When she's not coding or teaching, Karen likes to read lovely books, climb things, brew pots of tea, and as of recently, play around with micro-controllers and hardware.

7:15pm: Neverlate app, Ayuna Vogel

Neverlate is a self-improvement iOS app that helps motivate you to be on time. Put money at stake and pick a friend to be your accountability buddy. If you’re late, you gotta pay!

Ayuna Vogel is currently enrolled in the Access Code 2.2 program for iOS Mobile App Development and has built several apps in Objective-C and Swift. Prior to that, she was a journalist in Russia and a Russian lecturer in Malaysia. In her free time, Ayuna likes to explore NYC’s diverse neighborhoods and try food that she's never had before.

7:20pm : Scenic Framer, Shoshana Biro

Scenic Framer is an innovative Windows 10/8.1/8/7 desktop application that lets you visualize your photo albums so that you always feel inspired at your office or home.

Shoshana Biro founded MyNatureInspiration in 2015 after working as a C++ image processing plus multimedia scientist/engineer since 1989. She received her B.A. in mathematics from Haifa University in Israel, followed by a M.S from New York University.

7:25pm : React & Redux: Improving Developer Experience, Laima Tazmin

Laima Tazmin is a platform engineer at Refinery29.

7:35pm : Network with WWCode and Noble Desktop
