Join us for a casual workshop as speaker Leidy Riehle teaches us how to use Power BI, "an interactive data visualization software product developed by Microsoft with primary focus on business intelligence".

About this workshop:
Learn to create your own Power BI projects.
Power BI is a business intelligence tool that allows you to analyze, visualize and share data.
During this interactive workshop, you will learn common Power BI features and how to build a dashboard.

You will learn:
- A basic understanding of Power BI Desktop and using the Query Editor
- Importing data, changing data types and creating a date dimension
- Creating new columns (introducing DAX)
- Building a dynamic chart using the data model
- Improving the data model

Prerequisites and Preparation:
Install Power BI Desktop. Here is the link with instructions:

No programming or dashboard experience is required!

About the instructor:
Leidy Riehle is a Financial Data Analyst and WITSANDIEGO founder. When she's not tackling new tech projects, she's learning to play her guitar. Leidy received a BS in Mathematical Sciences from Kean University and an MS in Information Systems from NJIT in New Jersey. She's spent time in Technology Consulting, Life Insurance and Real Estate Investment.
