Wonderful Women Without Kids

Welcome to W3K! We are a fun-loving group in the NOVA/DC area. We encourage you to be involved with ideas and suggestions.

We kindly request that you do not solicit at our events.

PROFILE PICTURE: All members, to the maximum extent possible, should have a Meetup profile picture showing their face. This helps organizers find you at the beginning of an event.

NO SHOW POLICY: Given many of our events involve reservations and/or involve a small number of attendees, we request that you manage your RSVP responsibly. If you “no show” for two events, then you will be removed from the group. "No showing" includes canceling within the day of the event.

MEMBERSHIP: If you do not visit our meetup's website for 6 months, we are going to assume your interests have changed. Therefore, you will be removed from the group, but you can feel free to rejoin.

ASSUMPTION OF RISK: By being a member of Wonderful Women Without Kids and by attending or participating in a Meetup event sponsored by Wonderful Women Without Kids Meetup you represent that you are at least twenty-one (21) years of age, in good health, and suffer from no minor or serious physical or mental injury, illness, or disability that would make you especially susceptible to injury or disability while participating in a Wonderful Women Without Kids Meetup event (hereinafter a "Meetup Event,") and you agree to waive any claim related thereto as set forth more fully herein.

Assumption of Risk: You are aware that participating in a Meetup Event may involve certain inherent risks, dangers, and hazards that may result in serious personal injury or death and that during your participation in a Meetup Event, you may be exposed to a variety of hazards and risks, foreseen and unseen, which are inherent to a Meetup Event, including but not limited to ill effects due to the consumption of alcohol; physical exertion; contact with plants, animals, and food products; other Meetup Event participants and persons; exposure to the outdoors and unfavorable weather conditions; and travel risks, among other injuries and damages. You acknowledge that the enjoyment and excitement of a Meetup Event is derived in part from the inherent risks in such Meetup Events and these risks contribute to the enjoyment and are a reason for your participation. You appreciate that you may have to exercise extra care for your own person and for others around you in the face of such risks. In the event you choose to consume alcohol during a Meetup Event, you will DRINK RESPONSIBLY as to not endanger yourself or others before, during or after a Meetup Event. You expressly understand that (1) according to the Surgeon General, women shouldn't drink alcoholic beverages during pregnancy because of the risk of birth defects; and (2) consumption of alcoholic beverages impairs your ability to drive a car or operate machinery and may cause health problems.

WAIVER OF LIABILITY: In consideration of being allowed to participate in any way in a Meetup Event, you, for yourself, your heirs, personal representatives or assigns, do hereby release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue Wonderful Women Without Kids Meetup, its organizers, volunteers, and agents from liability from any and all claims including the negligence of the organizers, volunteers, and agents, resulting in a personal injury, accidents or illness (including death), and property loss arising from, but not limited to, participation in Meetup Events.

INDEMNIFICATION TO HOLD HARMLESS: You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the person and entities above from any and all liabilities or claims made by other individuals or entities as a result of your participation in a Meetup Event.

GRANT OF LICENSE: You herby grant Wonderful Women Without Kids Meetup, organizers, and agents an irrevocable license to use your name and/or likeness in all forms and in all media for social media, advertising, trade, and other lawful purposes.

PROHIBITED ACTIVIITIES: You agree and acknowledge that all Meetup Events are drug-free events and in no circumstances shall the consumption or use of drugs be permitted.

GUESTS: You agree and acknowledge that if you bring a guest(s) to any Meetup Event you shall be liable for such guest's abiding by Wonderful Women Without Kids Meetup's terms of membership, all prohibited activities, assumption of risk, and waiver of liability, and shall ensure they are aware of and agreed to be bound by the same.

ACKNOWEDGE of UNDERSTANDING: By joining this meetup you have read Wonderful Women Without Kids Meetup's terms of membership, all prohibited activities, assumption of risk, and waiver of liability. You read this waiver of liability, assumption of risk, and indemnity agreement, fully understand in terms, and understand that you are giving up substantial rights, including your right to sue. You agree and comply with this agreement fully and voluntarily, and intend by your attendance and participating in Meetup Events to be a complete and unconditional release of all liability to the greatest extent allowed by law.

ADDITIONAL FINE PRINT: You hereby agree to assume all risks and liability related to or resulting from any and all group events. You agree that neither you nor any third party will hold any of the group organizers liable for any injury, loss, or damage to yourself, your guests, property arising directly or as a consequence from group activity. During any and all events Members are Responsible for Themselves. The Organizer(s) is not responsible or liable for the safety of the participant(s), any misfortunes, accidents, etc. The Organizer(s) shall not be held responsible if any member chooses to participate in their own social activity with any of the members on their own time outside from the group meetup events. By joining Wonderful Women Without Kids, being a member of Wonderful Women Without Kids, and/or by attending Wonderful Women Without Kids activities and events you acknowledge the RELEASE OF LIABILITY information as stated above and accept these terms.

COVID-19:  By being a member of Wonderful Women Without Kids you hereby acknowledge the contagious nature of the Coronavirus/COVID-19 and that the CDC and many other public health authorities still recommend practicing social distancing.  You further acknowledge that the Meetup Group, “Wonderful Women Without Kids,” and its organizers cannot guarantee that you will not become infected with the Coronavirus/Covid-19.

By being a member of Wonderful Women Without Kids, you understand that this release discharges “Wonderful Women Without Kids” Meetup organizers from any liability or claim that you, your heirs, or any personal representatives may have against the “Wonderful Women Without Kids” Meetup group with respect to any bodily injury, illness, death, medical treatment, or property damage that may arise from, or in connection to, any activity and/or event held by the “Wonderful Women Without Kids” Meetup group.  This liability waiver and release extends to all “Wonderful Women Without Kids” Meetup organizers.
