Worldview Discussion - Suffering and Evil

Suffering and evil is often used as a polemic against the God of the Bible.

While the Bible does provide answers to the "problem" of suffering and evil, it can be a bit messy and some loose ends may never get tied up to our satisfaction.

But rejecting the Biblical answers is not enough.
What are the alternatives?
How does your worldview answer these questions?
Where does suffering and evil come from?
How are they defined?
What is their purpose?
To whom or what do you appeal for answers or resolution?

Rather than coming prepared to attack a view you disagree with, come prepared to do two things instead:
- Ask questions to understand the other perspective
- Present a positive view of how you would address the issue
